Since the grieving process is a normal response to loss, every effort is made by the Bereavement Team to offer opportunities for coping with this life changing family event. Because each of us shared a special connection with the deceased, our experience of this loss is as different and as unique as the relationship. It is impossible to predict our response to this absence.

We provide bereavement support to our patient’s family members, caregivers, and friends for thirteen months after the death of the patient. Hospice of the Sacred Heart is also committed to bringing bereavement support to members of our community. Even if your loved one was not a patient of ours, we can still offer support for you and your family.

Programs occur at different times during the year and at various locations throughout our service area. No charges or fees are associated with the programs listed below, however, some may require pre-registration and there may be a limit on the number of participants. We encourage you to call 570-706-2400 and speak with a member of our Bereavement Team to learn more about the programs offered.

MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS
Virtual monthly support group meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Please call 570-706-2400 to receive the Zoom link.
